🏃♂️ C.A.R.E. - RECREATIONAL EDUCATION
Curiosity Academy Recreational Education program promotes the student’s development of important life skills through the use of purposeful play and recreation, such as arts, sports and physical activity, and outdoor exploration. The activities are designed to help children build self-confidence and independence, improve social, emotional and communication skills, develop fine and gross motor skills, foster creative expression, enhance problem solving and decision making skills, and facilitate team building.
SCIENCE & NATURE
🔍SCIENCE AND NATURE
Science brings the world around us into the classroom and students out of the classroom with topics in biological sciences including nature, dinosaur fossils, plants and seeds, the human body, animals and habitats, recycling, and weather. Classes will also explore and observe the physical and chemical sciences, magnetism, weight, geography, and experimentation. Science class introduces hands on activities in many different ways to help children understand the world around them and how it works.
HEALTH & WELLNESS

Health and wellness will join lessons about healthy eating, nutrition, and our growing bodies with the development of gross motor coordination, physical exercise, fitness, calisthenics, strength, yoga, stretching, teamwork, athletics, games, and large scale building projects.

Social studies provides our students with a variety of ways to explore and understand international countries as well as our local community. This program will delve into worldwide cultures to learn about children growing up in different countries and eras. Students will have opportunity to develop a positive understanding and respect for social practices and customs within our society.

Community service projects offer a fantastic opportunity for students to support fellow students and families both near and far. Projects may consist of collections, creating special gifts, and keeping our earth clean, each building on a character focus. We strive to help each student understand their importance in the world and how to share their support with each other in so many wonderful ways.
MUSIC & MOVEMENT

Music provides a extraordinary opportunity for children to experience sound and expression through fun and educational discovery of this art form. By playing and making instruments, rhythm and sound, dance and creative movement, sing along songs, nursery rhymes, styles of music, theater and performing arts students can demonstrate their passion to move and groove!
ART

Art allows our students to create and express themselves using a variety of free art media and tools. Historical artists and their famous works like Monet, Picasso, van Gogh, and Michelangelo may make an appearance to our young artists. Various styles of art are practiced as children design their own works of art!
FARM

Classes will visit our orchards and gardens to explore the beauty of the farm right here at school. Lessons may include farm animal care, gardening and harvesting produce, apple picking, farm cooking, birds, and our natural farm life.
