Located in the beautiful town of Doylestown, Curiosity Academy is a private preschool and licensed Kindergarten that has been family-owned and operated since 1965.

Our History and Mission
In the 1960s, Ellen Thomas founded the Curiosity Shoppe, recognizing the need for quality early childhood education. In 1963, the Curiosity Shoppe became licensed as a small preschool in her home on Dogwood Lane. In 1978, inspired by The Toddler Center book, Ellen expanded the programs to create a childcare center for children under the age of 3. By 1980, the Curiosity Shoppe and Toddler Center relocated to our current location on Landisville Road.

At Curiosity Academy, we believe every child has a natural curiosity and desire to explore and learn about the world around them.
Our mission is to provide high-quality educational opportunities to children while fostering each student’s positive intellectual, social, physical, and moral skills in an academically and developmentally rich classroom and outdoor learning environment.
